Pathfinder
Website for Students at the University of Pittsburgh

Pathfinder is a website that helps Pitt students understand what they’ll actually get out of a class. Students can leave reviews that describe the course, tag the skills they learned, and name the professor who taught it. You can search by class, skill, or professor to see how a course is taught and what past students got from it. We designed Pathfinder because there wasn’t one place where this kind of information was all together, clear, and easy to find. It’s built to make scheduling less confusing and help students choose classes that match their goals. I designed the wireframes, and our whole team collaborated on building and shaping the project to make class planning less confusing and more useful.
Balance
Unity 2D Top-Down Role Playing Game

This is a game I designed called Balance that explores how people interact with the world around them. In this game, I wanted to highlight the issue of botanical sexism. This was a phrase coined by Tom Ogren to give a name to the planting of male species over female species. The player in the game will have to restore balance to the ecosystem and understand the effects that the people in town have been dealing with.
Gingy's Quest
Unity Platformer Game

This is a platformer game I designed which was inspired by the Shrek franchise and 80s and 90s classics. Players take on the role of the Gingerbread Man, Gingy, who tries to rescue his friends trapped in Lord Farquaad's castle. To achieve this, Gingy must collect ingredients and grow into a giant to overcome obstacles and eventually slay the dragon and Lord Farquaad himself. You can watch a playthrough of level one here.
Odyssey
Narrative Twine Game

I designed a narrative game on the Twine platform where the player takes the role of the main character and is faced with incredibly tough choices in a dystopia. This game allows players to explore moral dilemmas and consequences within the oppressive society. The main storyline allows the player to either be their sister's only hope for survival or be her demise. You can play through this game on the Twine page.
The Effects of Lifestyle Factors on Sleep
Data Story
For this data story, I analyzed research data with the main objective of analyzing patterns between sleep and lifestyle factors, including exercise and psychotropic drug use. The psychotropic drugs I speculated about were caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine. Using python, I was able to scrutinize the data and find correlations between sleep and these lifestyle factors.
